This painting is inspired by a photograph of Tiana Parker, wearing Laina Rauma.
I wanted to make a painting for my mom. Her favorite color is turquoise, so I started building the piece around that. Then the idea for a girl walking in the middle of tall hay came to me. That’s also when I decided to use the picture of Tiana as inspo. I didn’t want to paint her face though, so I just ended up making one up.
I ended up using more bright colors, even though I was trying to go for a traditional look. Couldn’t help myself lol
I want the viewer to feel the breeze, feel the freedom that this piece brings me.
