AME INDIGO KÄRKKÄINEN (b.2000) is a finnish oil painter / visual artist / sculptor, who’s EXPRESSIONISTIC style of work blends texture, color and dynamic forms, with themes that touch your heart.
Drawing inspiration from elements such as water, wind and wood, recycled JEWELRY, inherited and gifted objects, Kärkkäinen creates MULTIDIMENSIONAL pieces and INSTALLATIONS.
Each of Kärkkäinen’s works try to capture a specific moments emotionS, ambience, memory in recordings of movement and sound.
My work tends to be inspired by Queerness, universal life, body image, gender, current events of the world and my own journey in it. Encounters with other creatives and people special to me usually appear in my works, and not always on purpose.
