Drawing inspiration from elements such as water, wind and wood, recycled JEWELRY, inherited and gifted objects, Kärkkäinen creates MULTIDIMENSIONAL pieces that try to FULFILL their own curiosity.
Kärkkäinen is an intuitive painter, who uses their perception of color to communicate abstract themes such as emotionS, ambience, recordings of movement and sound.
Their work is heavily inspired by awareness of self, Queerness, universal life, love, body image, gender, spirituality and how the current society reacts to all of the above.
Kärkkäinen’s art reflects their connection to the natural and otherworldly, and helps them UNDERSTAND it better.
