Story of: evolution of the subconscious Rebirth - 2021. Oil and gold on canvaS

This painting is inspired by Alton Masons body, but it’s not to be mistaken as his portrait.
In this piece, I wanted to present the idea of emotional healing of self. All four characters create a single human entity. The top three characters represent our subconscious. The clothing colors represent the four elements; Blue signifies water, as well as emotional growth. Gray represents air, as well as mental growth. Green represents the earth, as well as collective growth. As we work on all three to grow and develop, they can finally heal the red - that represents fire, and our inner child.
I think we are all born mindless (headless in this case) and growing up means, that we finally get our heads, our minds, and our wisdom. In this painting, our subconscious (the top three) has finally evolved enough, and is finally connecting a head to our inner child with a golden thread, which in itself represents all the hard work we have to go through. We are finally whole.
